We are privileged to welcome you to Santiniketan Ashram Sammilani International (SASI), the international alumni association dedicated to the preservation of Rabindranath Tagore’s legacy.  Rabindranath today is as relevant to India and to the world as he ever was, and his intellectual and ideological influence has been profound and widespread.

We have a sizeable group of current and prospective members at this time, drawn from USA, Canada, England, Germany, France, Australia, and India. We expect our membership to grow steadily over the coming years. This website will provide you with more information on a regular basis.

Our annual general meetings are held so far either in US or in India. As a member, if you cannot attend the annual general meeting, you will receive a summary of the proceedings, and you will have a chance of expressing your views on the issues discussed. Your opinions are very valuable to us.

We expect that our programs will consist of supporting charitable causes to and for Santiniketan, continuing involvement with reforms in Visva-Bharati, promoting Santiniketan’ s rich heritage, and foster friendship and understandings between   and amongst all the well-wishers of Santiniketan.  Please contact us to let us know your ideas for our future activities, and your interest in participating in them.
